Not even the hint of rain or grey skies were enough to put off the Tura Beach Photography Club members as they ventured out for their first ever shooting exercise.

Fishpen, with its usual boats and jetties, was alive with people fishing and families swimming in the calm waters of the lake.  Around the other side of the peninsula, more swimmers, holiday-makers strolling along the water's edge and a couple of surfing dolphins all helped to add interest to the photo shoot.  The colour provided by the sun finally peeping through the clouds right on dusk was a welcome surprise.

At the next meeting of the Club, members will take turns showing the group a selection of their best shots.  Newcomers are welcome to join the club - just come along to the Tura Beach Country Club at 7:30pm on Sunday, 15 January.
