A New Photography Club for the Sapphire Coast

A new photography club has started at the Tura Beach Country Club.

The first meeting was held on Sunday 13 November at 7:30pm, with future meetings generally held on the 2nd Sunday of each month thereafter.  See the Calendar page for full details.

The main objective of the new club is to bring together people who enjoy their photography so we can share our skills and experience and create better pictures. Activities are likely to include:

  • field trips;
  • talks from local professionals;
  • sharing of resources e.g. magazines and books;
  • friendly and constructive critiques from members about each other's favourite photos; and
  • anything else that will improve our photography skills and/or increase our enjoyment of photography as a hobby.

The club is informal and non-competitive, and no membership fees are envisaged (at least not in the first instance).

Everyone is extremely welcome, whether you're a novice or an experienced enthusiast. There is no specific requirement in terms of the photographic equipment you own, although a digital camera of some description is highly recommended.

For more information, either come to the Tura Beach Country Club for one of the meetings or phone Bernie Russell or Jennie Kane on 6495 0123.  See also the Contacts page on this website.

We look forward to welcoming members to the new club!
